If you like films that make you think a little bit or have some sort of plot twists (plus the drama) then this is the movie for you. Overall, I highly suggest watching this film if you are curious of how Facebook came to be. In other words, the acting made the film seem more real. In the film, I can feel the intelligence flow out of Eisenberg’s portrayal, which made the film seem like a real life documentation rather than a fictitious film (that’s based on a true story). To have made such a giant step from a normal student to the young genius who owns Facebook, Zuckerberg must have had a personality that presented him as an Einstein. Other things I loved about this film is the wittiness Eisenberg evokes from his personal character which translated onto the portrayal of Zuckerberg. It traces how Facebook is created and then becoming the most used social networking site in the world. In general, the film is pretty much a two lawsuits and flashbacks with more focus on the flashbacks. But because the issue between the two is complicated to describe, I advise you to just watch the film. On another note, the film also introduces another drama between Zuckerberg and the Facebook Co-Founder, Eduardo Savarin (played by Andrew Garfield). The twins sued Zuckerberg for stealing their ideas, but eventually the lawsuit failed, seeing that Mark Zuckerberg solely owns Facebook and has no criminal charges. Zuckerberg agreed, but while he worked on the Winklevoss’s project, he also launched Facebook. Two men from Zuckerberg’s class, the Winklevoss brothers, had an idea of making an exclusive Harvard website (a small online social network), and they asked Zuckerberg for his help. The time span of the film stretches across a few years, starting with Zuckerberg’s years in Harvard to the moment he became the world’s youngest millionaire at age 24.
The film stars Jesse Eisenberg (who I think is the perfect actor for Zuckerberg’s role) as the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.
